Alaska needs our help to protect motorized trails.
Alaska Trails is seeking a National Scenic Trails (NST) designation through the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) that risks shutting down motorized access to trails.
These trails are not only used for recreational purposes, but also for residents that lead a subsistence lifestyle. These motorized trails are often their only connection to civilization, such as access to goods, equipment, and medical care, just to name a few.
This misguided attempt for a NST designation helps few and harms many in Alaska’s wilderness. Please lend your voice to help our friends in Alaska keep this needed trail: https://alaskasnowmachinealliance.org/alaska-long-trail

The Public can get involved by attending BLM listening sessions, submitting public comments through the BLM eplanning website, and engaging with local representatives and community leaders. Public participation is crucial to ensure that local voices are heard and considered in the decision-making process.
